Owice Hammad holds graduate degrees in resource management and engineering from the University of Jordan and Cologne University in Germany, where he was a DAAD Scholar. After working in the commerical and governmental sectors for five years, he is pursuing graduate study at the intersection of sociology, environmental ethics, and critical theory. When not researching, Owice deploys his engineering sense in the day-to-day operations of the Institute.
Summer Forester is a Fulbright Scholar at the Center for Strategic Studies in Amman. Otherwise a Ph.D. candidate at Purdue University, she researches the relationship between militarism and the women's movements in Jordan and Morocco. As an Associate, Summer develops grant opportunities for the Institute and cultivates the scholarly network abroad.
